Captain Quack's Bakery and Coffeehouse is at 5326 Menchaca Road in Austin. The space has a warm, eclectic neighborhood feel, with plenty of seating inside and some outside, and it often hosts live music.
The pastry cases hold cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, ginger crackle cookies, coffee cake and homemade pop tarts. The bakery also makes cakes for events such as baby showers, and people come to work over coffee. Hours run from 7 am to 9 pm, and until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
